Welcome to Aloola.
These Terms and Conditions establish the general terms governing the provision of Aloola's Spanish language learning services.
1. About Aloola
Aloola is an online Spanish-learning service for adults who wish to communicate with greater confidence in real-life situations. Our approach combines conversation from day one, pedagogical and creative sensitivity, living culture, and human connection. Classes are individual, online, and 30 minutes long. Currently, the service is exclusively available to people 18 years of age or older.
2. Plans and Pricing
Aloola offers individual Spanish learning plans consisting of 4, 8, 12, or 16 classes. Each class has a duration of 30 minutes. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars (USD) and may be consulted on the Aloola website:
A plan is considered confirmed once payment has been received and verified by Aloola and the student has received the corresponding confirmation.
3. Plan Start Date and Validity
Each plan is valid for one month, starting from the date agreed upon with the student. The start date, schedule, and applicable time zone will be confirmed with the student before or at the time the plan is activated. In particular circumstances, Aloola may exceptionally consider extending the validity period of the plan.
4. Class Scheduling and Rescheduling
Classes are scheduled according to the availability agreed between the student and Aloola. When a student needs to change a class, they should preferably request the change at least 24 hours in advance. Requests made less than 24 hours in advance may be exceptionally reviewed by Aloola, taking the particular circumstances of the case into consideration. Accepting an exception does not create an ongoing right to future exceptions.
5. Punctuality and Student Absence
The teacher will wait for the student for a maximum of 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If the student joins within those first 10 minutes, the class will continue for the remaining time of the session. If the student has not joined after 10 minutes and there is no previously reported and accepted situation, the session will be considered completed and will be deducted from the student's plan. This measure is intended to respect both the student's time and the teacher's time and work.
6. Technical Requirements
To participate in classes, the student must have:
A device compatible with Zoom.
A functioning camera and microphone.
A stable Internet connection.
The Zoom application installed and, when applicable, updated.
When a technical difficulty attributable to the student prevents the class from taking place, the session may be considered completed. Aloola may exceptionally review individual circumstances when justified.
7. Teacher Assignment and Changes
Aloola may assign different teachers during the same plan. This possibility is part of Aloola's methodology and allows students to interact with different people, develop adaptability, and strengthen their confidence when communicating in Spanish. Teacher changes may also be made due to availability, scheduling, or service-related needs.
8. Cancellations by the Teacher or Aloola
When a teacher knows in advance that they will be unable to conduct a class, they should inform Aloola preferably at least 24 hours in advance. In emergency situations or unforeseen circumstances, the teacher should inform Aloola as soon as possible. Administrative communication regarding cancellations or changes will be handled by Aloola with the student.
Aloola will seek to:
Reschedule the class with the same teacher; or
Assign another available teacher.
A cancellation by the teacher or by Aloola will not result in the class being deducted from the student's plan.
9. Exceptional Circumstances and Force Majeure
When circumstances beyond Aloola's reasonable control temporarily prevent the service from being provided, Aloola will first seek to offer rescheduling or another reasonable alternative. If the circumstances prevent Aloola from continuing to provide the service, Aloola will communicate the available options to the student in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.
10. Cancellations and Refunds
Aloola seeks to provide the contracted service and find reasonable solutions when difficulties arise. Sessions that have already been completed are not refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise or exceptional circumstances justify a different solution. When Aloola is unable to provide the remaining contracted sessions and no reasonable alternative is available, a refund for the undelivered sessions may be issued.
Duplicate payments or payments made in error attributable to Aloola will be reviewed and, where applicable, refunded.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights the student may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Renewals and Complimentary Classes
Aloola may offer benefits to students who renew their plans. The renewal benefits currently available can be consulted on the Aloola website:
The specific benefit, applicable plan, and validity period will be communicated by Aloola at the time of renewal.
12. Referral Program
Aloola may offer benefits to people who refer new students. When a person who has never previously purchased a plan from Aloola joins through a referral and purchases their first plan, the person who made the referral may receive a referral benefit equivalent to 10% of the amount actually paid by the new student for their first plan. The person making the referral does not need to be an Aloola student to participate in the referral program. To verify the referral, Aloola may request the name and WhatsApp number of the person who made the referral. The benefit will be earned once the new student has completed at least 90% of their first plan. Once these conditions have been met, Aloola will inform the person who made the referral of the applicable benefit and how it may be used.
The benefit may be provided, among other possibilities, as:
An additional 30-minute individual class.
A discount or credit applicable to a future renewal.
Another form of benefit determined by Aloola.
The benefit does not necessarily involve a cash payment and does not create an automatic right to receive cash, a bank transfer, or a transfer to a digital wallet. The specific terms regarding the use, validity, and application of the benefit will be communicated to the beneficiary when the benefit is granted. Referral benefits are personal and non-transferable and may not be combined with other promotions unless expressly authorized by Aloola.
13. Communications
Aloola may use WhatsApp and email for communications related to the provision of the service, including:
Classes and schedules.
Confirmations.
Rescheduling.
Payments.
Renewals.
Service-related changes.
Administrative communications.
Communications necessary to provide and administer the service are different from promotional communications. Aloola will not use WhatsApp or email to send promotions indiscriminately. Additional commercial or promotional communications will be sent in accordance with the applicable authorizations.
14. Class Recordings

Pedagogical follow-up.
